Day 2 OctPoWriMo 2017 - Writing Equals Freedom

Writing Equals Freedom

Fragments take on form and I
Reap meaning
Explore trails
Emotions’ essences
Distilled
Omniscience from within
Mind and heart explode

    1. Thank you, Payal. Sometimes an acrostic just appears on the page without planning! xoA

  3. The poem and picture together make me remember how being out in nature heals and inspires . . . the meaning of the poem, freedom, reminds me of how hard we fought back in the 1970s and 1980s and even through today for real freedom. And I mean fought with all those small rebellions and resolutions and small steps that made the difference for future generations of women. Sometimes acrostics can seem contrived. Not this one! Lovely.

    1. Oh, Beth, thank you. That photo was taken this summer at Oregon Caves near Cave Junction. And, yes, it was a healing and inspiring time being there. I'm pleased you found some memories within this poem. xoA
